Their website SUCKS for making a reservation change. Tried to make a date change for a NYC Reservation and website makes it almost impossible to find a way--so I called Bonvoy and they explained how to do it.

So we did it together and I was lucky as the message I got from the website was "Room No longer available" for my new dates. Fortunately the wonderful customer service rep (she was great!) explained it was the type of room we wanted and if we settled for a double Queen--Change could be made.
These two website glitches I guarantee cost Marriot several hundreds of thousands in lost business

We were charged a smoking fee by the general manager. We were not smoking not told that we will be charged. My husband’s account reflected the additional charge the following day.

My family were racially discriminated against and charged an $150 smoke fee without the hotel having any evidence it was us. There was a party down the hall and they were smoking marijuana while my family and I were trying to sleep.

Instead of charging them, we get charged for not complaining about them. My husband and I are disabled veterans and we had our two little kids with us. I am very disappointed. I will not recommend or ever return to any Marriot.

The hotel was dirty and our shower had someones hair in it when we first arrived. Im so disgusted!

Initially, did receive a phone call from customer service and i thought that was it, she would reach out to the hotel and expediate the issue. Not so, we have had Kevin hang up on me three times, Sabrina once, Finally, my husband spoke to the manager (who was not great) but at least she didn't hang up on us.

The problem was that the front desk refused us when we returned from our cruise to allow us to pick up the jackets. Instead they said we could have fedx pick them up once we sent them a packing slip. How gracious of Marriott!!
It took me some time to get the p/slip due to illness and then just not being able to do from home. Had to find a fedx office and stop there for help, This just happened end of March and a packing slip was faxed over...

Sabrina would not give me the fax number until she checked with her manager... FINALLY, had number and faxed over the packing slip. Waited another day to see if they received. Husband called and said to let him know if there was a problem and when they picked up...

didn't hear anything for two days so he called again ... and yes, Fed x picked up.

The hotel was very good but getting your deposit back within 14 days after your stay seems very hard. My bank is still waiting for £110 being put back into my account after my stay 3 weeks ago.

When I did contact, someone I telephoned , the hotel direct, in the city I wated to stay, that lady, was very helpful, who answered my call, she arranged everything, it would have been helpful, if you clarified this on the website, that there is no uk phone number for contacting marriott.
